Residents had an opportunity to learn more <br /> about a variety of transit resources. <br /> The Access Alameda Transit Guide, developed through ACTIA, is also distributed <br /> to all new paratransit clients. <br /> The City of Pleasanton web site (www.ci.pleasanton.ca.us) includes a paratransit <br /> information page and the paratransit application. <br /> Local transit information is coordinated through collaborative marketing efforts <br /> with LAVTA. All Pleasanton Paratransit Service printed materials include <br /> information about the services offered by LAVTA, and vice versa. WHEELS route <br /> information and passes are available at the Pleasanton Senior Center. <br /> The PPS Supervisor serves on LAVTA's Wheels Accessible Advisory Committee <br /> and attends regular meetings in an effort to maintain smooth operations and <br /> communications. <br /> Senior and Disabled I3ART passes are also sold at the Pleasanton Senior Center. <br /> Additional staff time has been allocated to complete 20 annual outreach and <br /> education sessions to local senior housing complexes, community organizations, <br /> and the local business community in an effort to market PPS services. <br /> Special event transit articles are featured in local newspapers and websites. <br /> PPS is listed in the Tri- Valley Pocket Guide for Human Services that was <br /> distributed to over 8,000 people in both Spanish and English. <br />
