TDA 4.5 Document E(a)
Page 7
The sixth annual PPS Transit Fair was held March 17, 2011, and included transit
providers from around the Bay Area. Residents had an opportunity to learn more
about a variety of transit resources.
The Access Alameda Transit Guide, developed through ACTIA, is also distributed
to all new paratransit clients.
The City of Pleasanton web site (www.ci.pleasanton.ca.us) includes a paratransit
information page and the paratransit application.
Local transit information is coordinated through collaborative marketing efforts
with LAVTA. All Pleasanton Paratransit Service printed materials include
information about the services offered by LAVTA, and vice versa. WHEELS route
information and passes are available at the Pleasanton Senior Center.
The PPS Supervisor serves on LAVTA's Wheels Accessible Advisory Committee
and attends regular meetings in an effort to maintain smooth operations and
communications.
Senior and Disabled I3ART passes are also sold at the Pleasanton Senior Center.
Additional staff time has been allocated to complete 20 annual outreach and
education sessions to local senior housing complexes, community organizations,
and the local business community in an effort to market PPS services.
Special event transit articles are featured in local newspapers and websites.
PPS is listed in the Tri- Valley Pocket Guide for Human Services that was
distributed to over 8,000 people in both Spanish and English.
