THE CITY OF <br /> 8 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pL E ASANTON. <br /> April 19, 2011 <br /> Community Development <br /> Engineering Division <br /> TITLE: ADOPT A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO <br /> ACCEPT FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AND CONSENT FOR <br /> RECORDATION OF DEEDS AND GRANTS, THE PARCEL OF LAND TO <br /> BE USED FOR THE PUBLIC PURPOSE OF THE S -6 SANITARY SEWER <br /> PUMP STATION REPLACEMENT PROJECT <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The City Council approved the purchase of property for the Sanitary Pump Station S -6 <br /> on March 1, 2011, from the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). <br /> Caltrans has requested a resolution to authorize acceptance of the parcel for intended <br /> public purposes. The resolution is required by the California Transportation <br /> Commission (CTC) to complete the sales transaction. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Approve the resolution authorizing the City Engineer to accept from the State of <br /> California, and consent for recordation of deeds and grants, the parcel of land to be <br /> used for the public purpose of the S -6 Sanitary Sewer Pump Station Replacement <br /> project . <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding for the purchase of a parcel for the Sanitary Sewer Pump Station S -6 was <br /> approved on March 1, 2011. The funding source was originally included in the Sewer <br /> Repair and Replacement Fund Fiscal Year 2001 -2002. The resolution will not have any <br /> additional financial impact. <br />
