Commissioner Rivera commented on the fiscal dilemma of some organizations and how they <br /> merit receiving funding. Ms. Andrade -Wax indicated that staff had looked at the Commission's <br /> criteria and community needs when making their recommendations. <br /> After further discussions, a motion was made by Commissioner McLane, seconded by <br /> Commissioner Rivera, recommending the following Community Grant Fund allocations for FY <br /> 2011/12: <br /> $ 4,250 — Valley Concert Chorale — Concert Enhancement <br /> $ 2,500 — Pleasanton Art League — Art is for Everyone <br /> $ 5,000 — Pleasanton Community Concert Band — Program & Equipment Enhancement <br /> $ 5,000 — Cantabella Children's Chorus — 20 Anniversary Celebration <br /> $ 4,000 — Pleasanton Cultural Arts Council — Poetry, Prose & Arts Festival, 2012 <br /> $ 3,000 — Harmony Fusion Chorus — Vaudeville Revisited <br /> $ 3,900 — Livermore Valley Opera — Opera at the Firehouse <br /> $ 5,350 — Livermore Valley Opera — "Opera LIVE! A City Council Priority Setting Workshop to be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Library on April <br /> 14, 2011, which commissioners are encouraged to attend. (Chairperson Loll suggested <br /> staff email Commissioners to remind them of this meeting), <br /> 2. The sell -out of concerts at the Firehouse Arts Center, and <br /> 3.
