Commissioner Stark thanked the applicants for their presentations. The Commission <br /> discussed all of the applications and agreed to recommend funding allocations as <br /> recommended by staff in the agenda report. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Stark, seconded by Commissioner Hempill, to <br /> recommend funding allocations for HOME and LIHF funds for the FY2011 Housing and <br /> Human Services Grant Program as summarized in Table A (Attachment 1) of the <br /> March 17, 2011, agenda report as follows: <br /> $ 50,000 Abode Services to provide rental subsidies for the Tri- Valley <br /> Housing Scholarship Program (HOME) <br /> $120,000 Neighborhood Solutions for the Housing Rehabilitation Program — <br /> (HOME) <br /> $ 50,000 ECHO Housing, Housing Counseling Services (LIHF) <br /> $ 5,000 ECHO Housing, Senior Reverse Mortgage Counseling (LIHF) <br /> $ 15,000 CRIL, Independent Housing Services for the Disabled (LIHF) <br /> $ 23,000 Tri - Valley Housing Opportunity Center, Community Stabilization <br /> Program (LIHF) <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE: <br /> AYES: Commissioners Casey, Hempill, Probert, Stark, and Chairperson Lopez. <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Commissioner Mermelstein <br /> ABSTAIN: None <br /> B. Update Regarding the Status of the Kottinger Place Redevelopment Project <br /> Mr. Bocian advised that there were no reportable activities at this time. Staff has been <br /> discussing with City Council several approaches for moving forward and it is expected <br /> that a direction will be identified within the next month or two. <br /> Staff has met with Stephen Schneller, Director of the HUD San Francisco Office of <br /> Public Housing, at the project site and discussed various options for development and <br /> funding. Mr. Schneller was helpful and has agreed to a follow -up meeting at which time <br /> staff can discuss more details related to funding and other matters. It is hoped that this <br /> meeting can take place within the next few months. <br /> Mr. Bocian also advised that at its closed session on March 1, 2011, the City Council <br /> authorized staff to pursue the acquisition of residential property located at 4138 Vineyard <br /> Avenue as a potential addition to the Kottinger Place project site.
