This type of project would likely have a high percentage or all of the units with some sort <br /> of income restrictions attached. It is most likely that the vast majority of development <br /> proposals would come from private for - profit developers who would develop market -rate <br /> apartments or condominiums subject to the requirements of the City's Inclusionary <br /> Housing Ordinance. <br /> While it is anticipated that some of the owners of properties that are rezoned will come <br /> forward with development proposals in the next few years, it is also likely that some of <br /> the sites will remain undeveloped. Those sites that are still available for development <br /> can be counted towards the City's required housing sites inventory in subsequent <br /> Housing Elements. <br /> Regardless of the pace at which the potential new development comes to fruition, the <br /> question of whether additional school sites are merited, where they should be located, <br /> and the best strategy for acquiring sites needs to be determined. <br /> Attachments: <br /> 1.
