CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> WASTEWATER PUMP STATION S -6 <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES DURING CONSTRUCTION <br /> Task 8 - Engineering Services During Construction <br /> Either the City or a third party shall provide construction inspection and management on the <br /> project. Consultant shall provide professional services to the City during construction phase of <br /> the project on a time and materials basis, up to the limit of authorized budget. Estimated hours <br /> for various tasks are based on average level of effort. Actual effort required may vary depending <br /> on the contractor, subcontractors, City staff's involvement, third party construction management <br /> and unforeseen and changed site conditions and issues. <br /> 8.1 Shop Drawings Review - Consultant shall review shop drawings for substantial <br /> conformity with the intent of the contract drawings and specifications. A shop drawing log <br /> shall be maintained and updated to track the progress of shop drawings. Review <br /> comments by the City shall be incorporated in review comments prior to return to <br /> contractor. See attached schedule of shop drawings to be reviewed. The average shop <br /> drawing review time shall not exceed 21 days. City shall provide comments to Consultant <br /> within 14 days. Assume 85 submittals and 85 resubmittals at an average of 4.5 hours each <br /> for a total of 765 hours. <br /> 8.2 Change Order Review - Consultant shall review change orders to be in conformance <br /> with design intent (12 total @ 2 hours each) and assist in the generation of potential <br /> Change Orders (4 total @ 8 hours each). 56 hours total are budgeted for this task. <br /> 8.3 RFIs and Design Clarifications - Consultant shall respond to RFIs, and interpret and <br /> clarify contract drawings and specifications as required. 200 hours (50 RFIs at an average <br /> of 4 hours each) are budgeted for this task. <br /> 8.4 Assistance During Startup and Testing - Consultant shall provide assistance during <br /> startup and field testing (40 hours) and witnessing factory test of VFDs (16 hours). A total <br /> of 56 hours are budgeted for this task. <br /> 8.5 Meetings and Site Visits - Consultant shall attend meetings and visit the project site as <br /> follows: <br /> • Meetings (11 Total, 38 hours) <br /> - 1 - Pre Con (4 hours) <br /> - 6 - Progress Meetings (3 hours each) - Attend bi- weekly progress meetings <br /> during shop drawing stages of the project to provide updates and address <br /> clarifications. <br /> • <br /> - 4 - Issues Meetings (4 hours each) <br /> C: \Documents and Seltings \swason \Desktop\Pleasanton ESOC_Scope Exhibit Andoc Page 1 of 2 <br />
