PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. PC-2002-49 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF BRENDAN O'CONNOR WEBSTER FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT APPROVAL, AS FILED UNDER CASE PCUP-57 WHEREAS, Brendan O'Connor Webster/Center for Speech, Language and Occupational Therapy (CSLOT) has applied for a conditional use permit to operate a speech therapy center located at 6155 Stoneridge Drive; and WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD-I/C-O (Planned Unit Development - Industrial/Commercial-Office) District; and WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of August 14, 2002, the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of the California Environrnental Quality Act (CEQA); and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission made the following findings: The proposed location of the conditional use is in accordance with the objectives of the zoning ordinance and the purpose of the district in which the site is located. The proposed use is in an office setting, but its group session program is similar in some aspects to that of apreschool/day caze center. CSLOT does not hold outdoor activities for children; its operation would be similaz in nature to other professional businesses in the same building as well as businesses in the surrounding business pazk. To ensure harmonious and workable relationships with other tenants in the proximity, the applicant proposes a designated drop-off zone for CSLOT parents and guardians so that the proposed use would have minimal impact on parking for other tenants.
