ry <br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2002-38 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION OF <br />THE CITY OF PLEASANTON FOR PUD DEVELOPMENT PLAN <br />APPROVAL, AS FILED UNDER CASE PUD-21 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied for Planned Unit Development <br />development plan approval to construct an approximately 90-space City <br />park and ride lotto be located on an approximately one-acre site generally <br />located at the northwest corner of Stoneridge Drive and Johnson Drive; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - G&LI <br />(General and Light Industrial) District; and <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of June 26, 2002, the Planning <br />Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and <br />recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and <br />WHEREAS, minor alterations to existing public facilities aze categorically exempt from <br />the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) <br />and a notice of exemption was previously filed with the County Clerk for <br />this project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission made the following PUD findings: <br />The plan is in the best interests of the public health, safety, and <br />general welfare. <br />As conditioned, the proposed project provides for the safe and efficient <br />off-street pazking for carpool vehicles. Adequate on-site access would be <br />provided for police, fire, and other emergency vehicles. Adequate storm <br />drain and water service facilities aze present to serve the site. The City <br />will install all required on-site utilities with connections to municipal <br />systems in order to serve the site. The parking lot will provide a public <br />service which will help to reduce commute traffic by encouraging <br />carpooling. <br />2. The proposed development plan is consistent with the Pleasanton <br />General Plan. <br />
