Section 4. Adopt the findings set forth in attached Exhibit 2 to support the adoption of the California Building Code in Title 20 of the Municipal Code and the amendments to those codes based upon Pleasanton's climatic, geologic and topographical conditions. Section 5. Severabrlity. If any provision or clause of this Chapter or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held to be unconstitutional or otherwise invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect other Chapter provisions or clauses or applications thereof which can be implemented without the invalid provision, clause or application, and to this end the provisions and clauses of this Chapter are declared to be severable. Section 6. A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted for fifteen (15) days in the City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its adoption. Section 7. This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after the date of its final passage and adoption. Section 8. The Building and Safety Official shall file a copy of this Ordinance with the State Department of Housing and Community Development and a copy to the State of California Building Standards Commission.
