MATTERS FOR THE COMMISSION'S INFORMATION <br /> <br />Commissioner Arkin reported that the Housing Commission met last Thursday and reviewed the <br />affordable housing aspects of the project proposed for the Vintage Hills Shopping Center site. <br />He noted that the meeting was well attended by the public and the general consensus of the <br />Housing Commission was that the retail is an important community asset in this area and they <br />want to see it emphasized and flourished. He noted that if there is some housing on the site that <br />it would be an auxiliary aspect of the retail shopping center. <br /> <br />r- <br /> <br />Commissioner Arkin advised that he asked the Housing Commission ifthey would like to be <br />proactive in researching the feasibility of a large senior project of approximately 50 acres with a <br />mixture of income level products in the east Pleasanton area. He noted that the Housing <br />Commission is going to review its priorities at the next meeting. <br /> <br />In response to an inquiry from Commissioner Kameny, Mr. Swift provided an update on the <br />status of potential development of the Westbrook property located on the north side of Dublin <br />Canyon Road. <br /> <br />Plannin2 Commission's role in addressin2 inter-a2ency matters, such as school sitin2 <br />issues. <br /> <br />Chairperson Maas noted that staffs memo on this matter was provided in the Commissioners' <br />packets. <br /> <br />12.
