PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br /> <br />a. PCUP-56, Kim Fox <br />Application for a conditional use permit to operate a women's fitness facility within an <br />existing building located at 1991 Santa Rita Road, #1 (Mission Plaza Shopping Center). <br />Zoning for the property is Central-Commercial (C-C) District. <br /> <br />Brian Swift presented the staff report, describing the proposal and hours of operation. He noted <br />that staff has determined that there is sufficient parking available for this use. He advised that <br />staff is recommending approval of the conditional use permit. <br /> <br />Commissioner Roberts questioned whether there have been any complaints or concerns from the <br />Valley Community Health Center regarding this application. Mr. Swift advised that staff did not <br />receive any complaints or concerns. <br /> <br />r- <br /> <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED <br /> <br />Kim Fox, 1991 Santa Rita Road, Suite #1, the applicant, noted that they currently have a facility <br />in Dublin and they want to expand to PIeasanton. She described the business operation, noting <br />that they do not feel parking will be an issue. She advised that there will be no children at the <br />facility and they do not provide showers or make-up mirrors. She confirmed that they are <br />willing to comply with the condition requiring a IS-minute break between sessions if the number <br />of members using the facility reaches the level specified. She noted that this situation has not <br />occurred at the Dublin facility. <br /> <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED <br /> <br />Commissioner Kameny moved to make the required use permit findings and approve Case <br />PCUP-56, subject to the conditions listed in Exhibit "B."
