She advised that staff does make an effort to schedule use <br />r- permit applications early on the agenda. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding the possibility of handling items on a "Consent Calendar" portion <br />of the agenda. Commissioner Harvey stated that he wants to avoid having an applicant rent a <br />tenant space and having to delay the operation of their business because of the use permit <br />approval. <br />Commissioner Sullivan expressed concern about the number of trailers on the Bernal property. <br />Ms. Seto advised that only one of the trailers is a sales trailer and the others are construction <br />trailers. Chairperson Maas suggested that consideration be given to landscaping the areas with <br />trees where the construction trailers are installed. <br /> <br />Commissioner Arkin questioned whether KB Homes is adhering to all ofthe conditions, such as <br />the condition that homes being offered to people who work in Pleasanton. Ms. Seto advised that <br />only about 16 ofthe units have been presold. She provided an update on the status of the other <br />residential developments on the site. <br /> <br />Commissioner Roberts advised that the Planning Commission receives minutes from almost all <br />of the other Commissions, but they do not get the Housing Commission minutes. Staff advised <br />that they will request copies for the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />r- <br /> <br />Chairperson Maas advised that she attended the League of California Cities conference entitled <br />"The Power of Cities." She reported that it was a very good conference. She noted that she <br />received some interesting items on how to work as a team. She stated that she will meet with <br />staff on these issues. She also advised that she received a copy of the "Commissioner's <br />Handbook," which describes areas such as roles and responsibilities. <br /> <br />8.
