Bay Area Self-Storae;e/Michael Walsh <br />Application for PUD rezoning and Development Plan approval to allow the construction <br />of an approximately 139,928-square-foot self-storage facility, including a 2,700-square- <br />foot manager's apartment, on a 6.89-acre portion of an 8.46-acre site located at 3100 <br />Valley Avenue on the northwest quadrant of Valley Avenue and the Union Pacific <br />Railroad right-of-way. Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development)- <br />I (Industrial) District. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints <br />Application for a major modification to an approved Planned Unit Development (PUD) <br />and for a conditional use permit to change the land use of approximately 1.97 acres of <br />vacant land behind an existing church located at 3574 Vineyard Avenue from six single- <br />family residential lots to a private park to be used for outdoor church-related events. The <br />zoning for the property would be changed from the PUD-MDRIP and I (Planned Unit <br />Development-Medium Density Residential/Public and Institutional) District to the PUD- <br />P and I (Planned Unit Development-Public and Institutional) District. Laura and Jerry Raney <br />Application for design review approval to construct a 1,537-square-foot two-story <br />addition to an existing office building located at 344 Division Street. Review ofthe 2001 Growth Manae;ement Report <br /> <br />Commissioner Arkin noted that when the Planning Commission last discussed the Growth <br />Management Program they set a policy to establish a goal in the community to increase the <br />number of percent of people who live in the City and actually work in the City by two percent <br />per year. He stated that he did not see any analysis of that goal in the Growth Management <br />Report. Mr. Swift advised that the best information on that will be available from the census, but <br />that information will not be available until next spring. <br /> <br />Commissioner Arkin also noted that he also did not see any discussion regarding the traffic on <br />the Sunol Grade.
