<br />,-- <br /> <br />scheduling of the project; however, it would not be appropriate for the speaker to solicit input <br />from the Commission regarding the proposal. <br /> <br />Mr. Graeser advised that the applicant has developed a new design for the building and that they <br />have met with most of the Commissioners regarding the new proposal. He noted that the new <br />design has been submitted to Larry Cannon for review. Mr. Graeser stated that they would like <br />to have the Planning Commission consider the project for final approval at its September 12 <br />meeting. He asked if another workshop is needed and requested that if the Planning Commission <br />holds a workshop that it be scheduled on August 22. <br /> <br />Ms. Seto advised that the Planning Commission could reorder the agenda at this time to hear <br />"Matters for Commission's Review/Action" or "Matters Initiated by Commission Members" and <br />discuss this item. <br /> <br />7. Matters Initiated By Commission Members <br /> <br />Commissioner Roberts advised that she has spoken with Mr. Graeser and in her opinion it would <br />be appropriate to go straight to the public hearing and not hold a workshop. Vice Chairperson <br />Maas concurred. <br /> <br />Commissioner Harvey advised that he feels it would be appropriate to hold another workshop <br />because they are talking about major design changes. Commissioner Arkin stated that he is in <br />favor of a workshop to allow the opportunity for the applicant to receive comments from the <br />Planning Commission and make any adjustments to the proposal prior to the public hearing. <br /> <br />,-- <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Maas advised that she has reviewed the new renderings and she feels <br />comfortable that the applicant is heading in the right direction. <br /> <br />Mr. Graeser stated that they would prefer to have a workshop on August 22, so that there are no <br />surprises at the September 12 hearing. <br /> <br />Commissioner Kameny stated that he would like to have a workshop and have the applicant <br />present some basic renderings at that time. <br /> <br />Mr. Pavan commented on the items current7 scheduled for the August 22 meeting, noting that <br />Providian would like to be heard on the 22n . He advised that there are potentially six or seven <br />items on the agenda. <br /> <br />Commissioner Arkin advised that he will not be present at the August 22 meeting, as he will be <br />on vacation.
