He suggested continuing the item completely or hearing the item, with <br />input from the public and the applicant, and comments from the Commission, with action <br />deferred to the next meeting. Commissioner Maas stated that she is ready to take action this <br />evening, but she understands Chairperson Sullivan's concerns. She suggested hearing from the <br />public, but noted the applicant may want to delay comments in that they have had a short time to <br />review the staff report. Commissioner Arkin advised that he did not receive the staff report until <br />10:00 p.m. last night, because he attended the City Council workshop, and he has not had an <br />opportunity to review the materials. Commissioner Arkin advised that by the rules of the <br />Commission he is continuing the item for two weeks and suggested that members of the public <br />wishing to address this item be allowed to so under "meeting open to the public." <br /> <br />Trece Herder, representing Centex Homes, advised that they would be in agreement with <br />continuing the item. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission agreed to continue Item 6.c., Centex Homes, to the April II, 2001 <br />meeting. <br /> <br />3. Review of Recommendations for Capital Improvement Program Proiects for 2001- <br />2006 <br /> <br />Steven Bocian provided background on the Capital Improvement Program Project process, <br />noting that the Planning Commission is being asked to review a list of projects that are currently <br />being considered for funding. He advised that the projects which stafffeels have the highest <br />priority are so noted on the list. He requested that the Planning Commission provide input <br />regarding staff s recommended "highest priority" items, as well as any other project on the list, <br />or not on the list, that the Commission feels should be ranked as a high priority. He asked that <br />the Planning Commission look at the list not only as a Commissioner, but also as a community <br />member.
