96 <br /> It was moved by Mr. Brandes, and seconded by Mr. Butler, to <br /> send a letter to the Alameda County Planning Department and Board <br /> of Supervisors opposing the Diamond Properties' Vesting Tentative <br /> Map, Tract 6130 and requesting that the case be heard publicly by <br /> the Alameda County Planning Commission and to have a member of the <br /> Pleasanton City Council attend the hearing on the matter. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> ABSTAIN: None <br /> Request for a Crossing Guard on Bernal Avenue and Valley Avenue <br /> Ms. Acosta stated that there have been a numerous requests to <br /> have a crossing guard at the intersection of Bernal Avenue and <br /> Valley Avenue. She informed the Council that the matter would be <br /> on a later Council Agenda and that the City would move a crossing <br /> guard from another area to that intersection until the City is able <br /> to hire additional crossing guards. <br /> Mr. Mercer indicated that he finds this to be an emergency <br /> situation because it is extremely difficult for the Pleasanton <br /> Middle School students to cross that intersection. <br /> It was moved by Mr. Butler, and seconded by Mr. Brandes, that <br /> Resolution No. 90 -207 be adopted, determining that the matter on <br /> having a crossing guard at the intersection of Bernal Avenue and <br /> Valley Avenue and amending the budget accordingly arose after the <br /> Agenda was posted and that it be added to the Agenda. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> ABSTAIN: None <br /> It was then moved by Mr. Brandes, and seconded by Mr. Tarver, <br /> that Resolution No. 90 -208 be adopted, approving the hiring of a <br /> crossing guard for the intersection of Bernal Avenue and Valley <br /> Avenue and amending the budget accordingly. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> ABSTAIN: None <br /> - 14 - <br /> 11 -6 -90 <br />
