96 It was moved by Mr. Brandes, and seconded by Mr. Butler, to send a letter to the Alameda County Planning Department and Board of Supervisors opposing the Diamond Properties' Vesting Tentative Map, Tract 6130 and requesting that the case be heard publicly by the Alameda County Planning Commission and to have a member of the Pleasanton City Council attend the hearing on the matter. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver and Mayor Mercer NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None Request for a Crossing Guard on Bernal Avenue and Valley Avenue Ms. Acosta stated that there have been a numerous requests to have a crossing guard at the intersection of Bernal Avenue and Valley Avenue. She informed the Council that the matter would be on a later Council Agenda and that the City would move a crossing guard from another area to that intersection until the City is able to hire additional crossing guards. Mr. Mercer indicated that he finds this to be an emergency situation because it is extremely difficult for the Pleasanton Middle School students to cross that intersection. It was moved by Mr. Butler, and seconded by Mr. Brandes, that Resolution No. 90 -207 be adopted, determining that the matter on having a crossing guard at the intersection of Bernal Avenue and Valley Avenue and amending the budget accordingly arose after the Agenda was posted and that it be added to the Agenda.
