MINUTES <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> October 5, 2010 <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Hosterman called the regular meeting to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. Councilmember <br /> McGovern led the Pledge of Allegiance and provided the introductory remarks. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Cook- Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br /> Absent: None <br /> CLOSED SESSION REPORT <br /> City Attorney Lowell reported the Council met in Closed Session regarding existing litigation, Lin <br /> v. City of Pleasanton, and took no reportable action. <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS - None <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Administrative Services <br /> 1. Approve special meeting minutes of September 21, 2010 <br /> City Manager <br /> 2. Public Hearing: Reviewed and approved the Community Development Block Grant <br /> (CDBG) Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for Fiscal <br /> Year 2009 (09/10) <br /> Community Development <br /> 3. Accepted actions of the Zoning Administrator and Planning Commission <br /> 4. Approved plans and specifications, review bids, awarded and authorized the City Manager <br /> to execute construction contract with JJR Construction, Inc. in the amount of $123,405 for <br /> the Annual Sidewalk Maintenance project, CIP No. 095012; and authorized the Director of <br /> Community Development to approve and execute contract change orders not -to- exceed <br /> $25,000 <br /> 5. Adopt Resolution No. 10-401 to initiate Reorganization /Annexation No. 149 proceedings <br /> for Staples Ranch consisting of approximately 162 acres to the City of Pleasanton; <br /> detachment from the Fire District, Library District, and Livermore Area Recreational and <br /> Park District; and amendment of the City's sphere of influence to coincide with the <br /> proposed boundaries <br />
