In short, this project represents a viable development opportunity in an otherwise impossible market. This project will create many short-term construction jobs, as well as many long -term new jobs for Pleasanton, while increasing the tax base for the benefit of the entire community. The proposed new center will be home to Safeway Inc.'s innovative 'lifestyle' grocery store concept.
