Public Workshop
The City is hosting its first CAP workshop on October 27 which will be open to the
public. Staff has prepared press releases, collateral materials, and public service
announcements to widely communicate this event. The workshop will begin with an
introduction (defining climate change, the purpose of a CAP, and how will it affect our
community), and a panel of experts will form small groups to solicit input and feedback
on the planning process and the different elements that are to be considered in
Pleasanton's plan.
DISCUSSION
The City has partnered with various organizations and committees, educational
institutions, and local businesses to promote community involvement in our CAP
process. In addition, the City has made great strides in greening its facilities and
helping local businesses green their buildings. Collectively, the City and the business
community have captured 1.2 MWs of energy savings since the beginning of this year.
Subm' d Approved by:
4 p )(A /
Daniel Sm' Nelson Fialho
Director of Operations City Manager
Attachments:
1.
