<br />~ <br /> <br />,r-- <br /> <br />r- <br /> <br />.- <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />· Should existing green building guidelines be used, or should the City develop its own? <br />Chairperson Sullivan commented that there are some good commercial guidelines that have <br />already been established and accepted nationally, and there are the ACWMA residential <br />guidelines. He stated that it makes sense to adapt existing guidelines. Commissioner Arkin <br />stated that he would like to see some sort oflong-term strategy plan in place and some short- <br />term action items to do now. Commissioner Roberts stated that she supports the idea of the <br />construction demolition debris ordinance. Support was voiced for an ordinance or General <br />Plan amendment specifically addressing green building measures. <br /> <br />Mr. Pavan advised that a workshop is being planned for staff and suggested that a special <br />Planning Commission meeting be held regarding photovoltaics and green building practices. <br />Commissioner Kameny suggested that Mr. Serna be invited to this workshop.
