<br />Vincent Hoffmann, 818 West A Street, #37, Hayward, the architect for the project, advised that <br />__ the screening is a metal louvered screen and that it is meant to prevent the sound from escaping <br />from the equipment area. He noted that it would be painted light beige, the color of the building. <br />He advised that the design for the expansion was modified to conform to the design of the <br />existing building. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED <br /> <br />Commissioner Maas moved to make the conditional use permit findings and approve Case <br />PDR-81/PCUP-20 subject to the conditions listed in Exhibit "B." Commissioner Roberts <br />seconded the motion. <br /> <br />Commissioner Arkin stated the he would like have seen a little more done with the architecture <br />of the building. Zoning for the property is C-F (Freeway <br />Commercial) District. <br /> <br />Mr. Pavan presented the staff report, providing background regarding the original project <br />approval. He noted that staff has worked with the applicant to delete certain items which do not <br />have a negative impact on the overall appearance and presentation of the project, in order to <br />decrease costs. He added that staifis uncomfortable with the applicant's request to delete seven <br />wood and stone trellises and is, therefore, recommending denial.
