limited to, building siting, upgraded insulation, sound rated windows and doors, <br /> sound rated exterior wall assemblies, and acoustical caulking. <br /> 5. Construction Noise —Best Management Practices. The project developer shall <br /> implement construction best management practices, including the following, to <br /> reduce construction noise: <br /> a. Locate stationary construction equipment as far from adjacent occupied <br /> buildings as possible. <br /> b. Select routes for movement of construction related vehicles and equipment <br /> so that noise sensitive areas, including residences, and outdoor recreation <br /> areas, are avoided as much as possible. Include these routes in materials <br /> submitted to the City of Pleasanton for approval prior to the issuance of <br /> building permits. <br /> c. All site improvements and construction activities shall be limited to the hours <br /> of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. In addition, no <br /> construction shall be allowed on State and Federal holidays. If complaints <br /> are received regarding the Saturday construction hours, the Director of <br /> Community Development may modify or revoke the Saturday construction <br /> hours. The Director of Community Development may allow earlier "start <br /> times" for specific construction activities (e.g., concrete foundation /floor <br /> pouring), if it can be demonstrated to the satisfaction of the Director of <br /> Community Development that the construction and construction traffic noise <br /> will not affect nearby residents. <br /> d. All construction equipment must meet Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) <br /> noise standards and shall be equipped with muffling devices. <br /> e. Prior to construction, the applicant shall post on the site the allowable hours <br /> of construction activity. <br /> f. The property owner shall designate a noise disturbance coordinator who will <br /> be responsible for responding to complaints about noise during <br /> construction. The telephone number of the noise disturbance coordinator <br /> shall be conspicuously posted at the construction site and shall be provided <br /> to the Director of Community Development. <br /> g. Additional best management practices may be required by the Building and <br /> Safety Division and /or City Engineer. All additional best management <br /> practices shall be reviewed and approved by the Building and Safety <br /> Division and /or City Engineer, prior to implementation. <br /> 6. Nesting Bird Survey. Prior to the beginning of tree removal or mass grading, <br /> between February 15 and August 15, including grading for major infrastructure <br /> improvements, an avian nesting survey shall be conducted of all habitat within 350 <br /> Conditions of Approval /PUD -57 <br /> Appendix Conditions <br /> 7 <br />
