SAMPLE ** NOTICE TO DESTROY WEEDS AND REMOVE RUBBISH, REFUSE AND DIRT Notice is hereby given that on the 18th day of March. 2003. the City Council of the City of Pleasanton passed a resolution declaring that noxious or dangerous weeds were growing upon or in front of property on this street, and/or that rubbish, refuse and dirt were upon or in front of property on this street, and that more particularly described in Resolution No. 03- . and that the weeds, rubbish~ refuse and dirt constitute a public nuisance, which by Ma)' 31. 2003 must be abated by the removal of the weeds, rubbish, refuse, and dirt according to the enclosed weed abatement standards. If not otherwise abated by May 31~ 2003. the weeds, rubbish, refuse and dirt shall be removed and the nuisance abated by the City or a contractor. The cost of removal and disposal and an administrative assessment of 100% of the abatement costs shall be assessed upon the land from or in front of which the weeds, rubbish, refuse and dirt are removed, and shall constitute a lien upon such land until paid. Reference is hereby made to Resolution No. 03- for further particulars. A copy of Resolution No. 03- is on file in the Office of the City Clerk. All property owners having any objections to the proposed removal of the weeds, rubbish, refuse and dirt are hereby notified to attend a meeting of the City Council of the City of Pleasanton to be held at 200 Old Bernal. Pleasanton. at 7:00 p.m. on April 15. 2003. when their objections will be heard and given due consideration. Dated this 20th day of March, 2003.
