9. Approved As- Needed Contracts with various vendors for contract and maintenance <br /> services <br /> Parks and Community Services <br /> 10. Reviewed proposals and awarded contract to West Coast Arborist, Inc. for the Annual <br /> Tree Trimming, Removal, and Inventory Project <br /> 11. Approved Golf Course Operator Agreement with Pleasanton Golf, LLC (Courseco, Inc.) <br /> 12. Adopted Resolution No. 10 -383 disbanding the Trails Ad Hoc, and Bicycle and Pedestrian <br /> Advisory Committees; and Resolution No. 10 -384 establishing the Bicycle, Pedestrian and <br /> Trails Committee <br /> Councilmember McGovern referred to the at -large position and suggested providing the <br /> opportunity for one more youth representative, which would add to the total number by one. <br /> Councilmember Cook - Kallio noted at -large positions do not exclude youths and in addition to <br /> recruiting for two at -large positions, she encouraged more youth apply for the at -large position, <br /> as well. <br /> The City Manager clarified and confirmed Council's request for the City to advertise for two <br /> designated youth seats, for a total of 6 at -large members, with one designated for youth in <br /> addition to the youth Commissioner seat proposed. And, that the members would not be <br /> restricted by age. <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Cook- Kallio/Thorne to approve Consent Calendar, as amended. Motion <br /> passed by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Cook - Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> 13. Public Comment <br /> Allen Roberts felt that to protect ridgelines, voters should vote no on Measure D. <br /> Dolores Bengtson voiced support for Measure D said Oak Grove is on the southeast hills and <br /> not on Pleasanton Ridge which is already preserved as parkland. <br /> Phil Blank, Planning Commission, said he is voting no on Measure D and voiced the lack of <br /> respect for process. He encouraged everyone to vote no on Measure D. <br /> Bob Grove encouraged no votes on Measure D. <br /> Kathy Dowding cited the futility in reading the names of those who have died from the war and <br /> read words of Andy Rooney, entitled "A Memorial Day Worth Remembering ". She wished <br /> everybody could dedicate the day not for those who have died in the war, but to the idea of <br /> saving the lives of the young people who are going to die in the future if some new way is not <br /> found that takes war out of our lives.
