The total available funding also includes $93,819 from <br /> the previous year's slurry seal project, CIP No. 075004. This funding includes Gas Tax, <br /> General Fund, and Measure B monies. The estimated total expenditures for this project <br /> is $239,285, including a 10% construction contingency of $21,738 (see attached funding <br /> and expenditures summary). <br /> Bids <br /> Sealed bids for this slurry sealing project were opened on May 25, 2010. Three bids <br /> were received, ranging from $217,377.40, from American Asphalt Repair Resurfacing <br /> Co., Inc., to $281,991.32. The low bid is approximately 20% less than the engineer's <br /> estimate of $270,500 (see attached Bid Summary). <br /> Page 3 of 4 <br />
