ATTACHMENT 1 <br /> CONTRACT <br /> ANNUAL TREE TRIMMING, REMOVAL AND INVENTORY <br /> 2010 -2011 <br /> THIS CONTRACT is made and entered into this 1st day of July, 2010 by and <br /> between West Coast Arborist, Inc., "Contractor whose address is 2200 E. Via Burton <br /> Street, Anaheim, CA 92806, and telephone number is 714 956 -3745 and the CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON, a municipal corporation "City <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> WHEREAS, the City has awarded to the Contractor a contract for Annual Street <br /> Tree Trimming, Removal, and Inventory work. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises set forth herein, <br /> the parties agree as follows: <br /> 1. Work to be Performed. The work will generally consist of tree pruning, removal, <br /> stump grinding, inventory work and related activities as described in this <br /> specification. <br /> Said work is more particularly shown in the following documents which are on <br /> file with the Parks and Community Services, Parks Maintenance Division of the <br /> City and are incorporated herein by this reference: <br /> A. Requests for Proposal entitled the Annual Tree Trimming and <br /> Removal and addenda thereto, if any. <br /> B. Contract Amendments approved by the City Parks Maintenance <br /> Superintendent, done in accordance with the Standard <br /> Specifications. <br /> C. The Proposal submitted to the City by the Contractor. <br /> D. General Provisions and Special Provisions. <br /> 2. Compensation. The City shall pay the Contractor for work actually performed at <br /> the unit prices set out in the Contractor's proposal to the City (Attachment A). <br /> The quantities of work stated therein are estimates only; actual quantities will be <br /> measured for payment in accordance with the specifications. The annual contract <br /> amount shall not exceed $375,000. <br /> 3. Contract Renewal. It should be noted that the City and the Contractor shall retain <br /> the right to renew the signed Contract agreement for an additional one year period <br /> up to, but not exceeding, four additional years.
