ATTACHMENT 1 CONTRACT ANNUAL TREE TRIMMING, REMOVAL AND INVENTORY 2010 -2011 THIS CONTRACT is made and entered into this 1st day of July, 2010 by and between West Coast Arborist, Inc., "Contractor whose address is 2200 E. Via Burton Street, Anaheim, CA 92806, and telephone number is 714 956 -3745 and the CITY OF PLEASANTON, a municipal corporation "City WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, the City has awarded to the Contractor a contract for Annual Street Tree Trimming, Removal, and Inventory work. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises set forth herein, the parties agree as follows: 1. Work to be Performed. The work will generally consist of tree pruning, removal, stump grinding, inventory work and related activities as described in this specification. Said work is more particularly shown in the following documents which are on file with the Parks and Community Services, Parks Maintenance Division of the City and are incorporated herein by this reference: A. Requests for Proposal entitled the Annual Tree Trimming and Removal and addenda thereto, if any. B. Contract Amendments approved by the City Parks Maintenance Superintendent, done in accordance with the Standard Specifications. C. The Proposal submitted to the City by the Contractor. D. General Provisions and Special Provisions. 2. Compensation. The City shall pay the Contractor for work actually performed at the unit prices set out in the Contractor's proposal to the City (Attachment A). The quantities of work stated therein are estimates only; actual quantities will be measured for payment in accordance with the specifications. The annual contract amount shall not exceed $375,000. 3. Contract Renewal. It should be noted that the City and the Contractor shall retain the right to renew the signed Contract agreement for an additional one year period up to, but not exceeding, four additional years.
