Alameda County Transportation Improvement Authority <br /> Special Transportation for Seniors and People with Disabilities <br /> M Yes Committee Name: Pleasanton Paratransit Task Force <br /> Meeting Date: January 15, 2010 and April 16, 2010 <br /> n No <br /> Narrative Responses for C and D above: <br /> As part of the annual planning process, PPS users complete a program /service evaluation. <br /> Over 459 surveys were sent out to riders on March 1, 2010, with a completion date of March <br /> 31, 2010. Anyone completing the survey receives a free paratransit ride. A summary of these <br /> findings will be reviewed by the PPS Task Force members and will also be included in the <br /> ACTIA year -end report. <br /> Staff worked with the PPS Task Force on September 18 2009 to identify five (5) measureable <br /> outcomes for FY 2009 -10. These outcomes include the following: <br /> Outcome I <br /> Expand the Travel Ambassador Program through new promotional ideas and additional <br /> training opportunities. <br /> Tasks to include: <br /> 1. Develop new promotional materials to hand out/mail out through senior center <br /> mailings. <br /> 2. Include Travel Ambassador Program in monthly senior center calendar. <br /> 3. Work with LAVTA Travel Trainer to provide new training meetings to attract <br /> new volunteers. <br /> Outcome II <br /> Explore funding for Senior Support Transportation Program beyond June 30, 2010. <br /> Tasks to include: <br /> 1. Research possible funding ideas for funding. <br /> 2. Provide letters of support to ACTIA in regards to this special <br /> door through -door program that helps the frailest residents. <br /> Outcome III <br /> Improve communications between PPS Dispatch and support staff. <br /> Tasks to include: <br /> 1. Provide monthly meetings to improve communications between staff. <br /> 2. Review input from rider evaluations regarding Dispatch communication and <br /> customer service. <br /> Outcome IV <br /> Expand the annual Transit Fair to include Travel Ambassadors, Carfit Program, AARP <br /> Mature Driving Classes, DMV representative as well as other transit agencies. <br /> Tasks to include: <br /> 1. Invite local transit representatives, DMV, Carfit, Travel Ambassadors, AARP <br /> and others to the March 17 fair. <br /> 2.
