THE CITY OF 7 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pL£ASANTONo <br /> April 6, 2010 <br /> Community Development <br /> Engineering Division <br /> TITLE: ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS PERFORMED BY ROSAS <br /> BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION FOR ANNUAL SIDEWALK MAINTENANCE, <br /> CIP NO. 085012 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Annual Sidewalk Maintenance project consisted of removal and replacement of <br /> damaged concrete sidewalk; driveways; curb and gutter; and curb through drains; and <br /> installation of new ADA access ramps on various City streets as listed in Attachment 1. <br /> The project is complete and ready for acceptance by City Council. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Accept the improvements for the subject project. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion. <br /> 3. Authorize payment of the retention in the amount of $17,241.80 to Rosas <br /> Brothers Construction, Inc. thirty days after recordation of the Notice of <br /> Completion. <br /> 4. Transfer the project balance in the amount of $240,238 to CIP No. 095012, <br /> Annual Sidewalk Maintenance. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> This project replaced and upgraded existing infrastructure and should not increase <br /> maintenance costs. The construction of the project was performed within the approved <br /> budget. <br />
