"II.03 Underground Tanks. Notwithstanding Section <br /> 11.02 above and in addition to those materials <br /> regulated pursuant to Section II.01 above, a permit <br /> shall be required for the storage in an underground <br /> storage tank as defined by California Health and <br /> Safety Code 25280 (m), of any material defined as <br /> a hazardous substance, in accordance with California <br /> Health and Safety Code Section 25280(c)." <br /> <br />(f)In Section III.01, the second sentence in the <br /> <br /> second paragraph at page 7 is amended to read: <br /> <br /> "City shall have the discretion to'exempt an applicant <br /> from any specific requirement, except that the discretion <br /> with regard to underground tanks shall be in accordance <br /> with Subsections III.02.C(4) and (5) below, or to <br /> impose reasonable additional or different requirements <br /> in order to better secure the purpose and general <br /> obligation of this Chapter for p~otection of the <br /> public health, safety and welfare." <br /> <br />(g) Section III.02.A1 is added at page 8 to read: <br /> A.1. Hazardous Gases. The Fire Chief may promulgate <br /> appropriate regulations for all new storage facilities <br /> intended for the storage of hazardous materials which <br /> are gaseous a'~standard temperature and pressure (STP). <br /> Until otherwise amended by the Fire Chief, the Fire <br /> Chief will apply the standards set forth in the report <br /> entitled "Review of Fire Ordinance #51" by the <br /> John D. ~oll Company." <br /> <br /> <br />
