This separation not only drops the ranking of the SR 84
project, but moves several medium cost projects to a higher priority creating
approximately 50 million dollars of projects as higher priority. City staff does not support
this approach.
TABLE 2- Prioritization of List A Projects Not Fully Funded With Separation of A2 -a project
CumListive Unfunded Funding Readiness Effectiveness
Rank List A eoore cost Value score score
1 A Isabel Route 84/1-580 Interchange 8.6 $5.72 2.9 3 2.7
2 A 2a(Mddle) Route 84 Expressway 1-580 b1-680 8.05 $20.00 2.55 3 2.5
3 A Vasco fbad Safety Improvements Phase 1 7.99 $4.15 2.59 3 2.4
4 A 3 1580 Papillary Lanes 2) 524 $29.40 1.04 1.5 2.7
5 47 1-590/Foothill/San Raman Road Interchange 4.61 $0.60 1.71 1 1.9
6 A- 2a(South) (mute 84 Expres9Nay 1580 b 1 4.23 $197.00 0.43 1 2.8
7 A Crow Carryon Read Improvements Phase 1 3.68 $10.95 0.88 1 1.8
8 A Vasco fbad Safety Improvements Phase 2 2.9 $25.83 0 0.5 2.4
9 411 Express Bus/Bus Rapid Transit ('Phase Z' TED) 2.7 tbd 0 1 1.7
At this time, Staff is requesting Council provide Pleasanton's TVTC representative with
feedback and comments regarding the prioritization of List A over List B projects and
the creation of State Route 84 as two separate projects.
Staffs recommendation is to maintain the prioritization of List A over List B projects and
to not separate State 84 into separate projects.
