DISCUSSION
Based on City Council action of February 16, staff anticipates continued coordination
between the Kottinger Drive neighborhood, Kottinger Place and Pleasanton Gardens
residents, the City Council, and the expanded Kottinger Task Force membership. To
assure that the Task Force represents all interests appropriately, staff is recommending
an amendment to its membership described in this staff report. Once the appointments
have been made, staff anticipates that the Task Force will continue to meet to address
key planning and decision points. Staff anticipates conducting a process to select the
tenant representatives (similar to the City's commission /committee recruitment process)
and will also solicit applicants for the at -large neighborhood position. Representatives
will be interviewed by the Mayor (and interested Councilmembers) and appointments
approved by the City Council.
As the next step in the process, staff intends to circulate a Request for Qualifications for
a non profit developer and identify the top firms and present the findings to the Task
Force for review and recommendation. Upon identification of the most qualified, staff
will forward the recommendation to the City Council for review and approval.
Submitted by: Approved by:
Steven Bocian Nelson Fialho
Assistant City Manger City Manager
Attachments:
1.
