THE CITY OF <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT 14 <br /> PLEASANTON® <br /> March 16, 2010 <br /> Assistant City Manager <br /> TITLE: APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE KOTTINGER PLACE TASK <br /> FORCE MEMBERSHIP INCLUDING REPRESENTATIVES FROM <br /> PLEASANTON GARDENS AND KOTTINGER PLACE AND <br /> RECOMMENDATION TO ADD A CITY COUNCILMEMBER <br /> REPRESENTATIVE <br /> SUMMARY <br /> At your meeting of February 16, the City Council approved the Principles of Agreement <br /> for the next phase of the Kottinger Place and Pleasanton Gardens process. Prior to <br /> this, on December 1, the City Council conducted a joint workshop to review a report and <br /> related recommendations regarding the two sites. In addition to recommendations <br /> related to the redevelopment of the sites, the report included recommendations <br /> regarding an amendment to the Task Force membership. City staff elected not to <br /> pursue this matter on February 16 to allow for a focused City Council discussion <br /> regarding the Principles of Agreement. As a result, at this time it is appropriate to <br /> consider the membership issues. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Approve the Task Force's recommendations regarding membership including <br /> adding one member residing at Kottinger Place and one member residing at <br /> Pleasanton Gardens, and filling the one vacant at -large position with a resident <br /> from the Kottinger Drive neighborhood. <br /> 2. Appoint a councilmember to serve on the Kottinger Place Task Force. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There is no financial impact as a result of staffs recommendation. <br />
