RESOLUTION 10 -333 <br /> EXHIBIT A <br /> CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL <br /> Case PAP -139 (PCUP -257) <br /> Mari Kennard <br /> Redcoats British Pub and Restaurant <br /> 1. The operation of Redcoats British Pub and Restaurant at 336 St. Mary Street is <br /> modified to allow inside DJ music and dancing on Wednesday and Thursday <br /> nights from 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight, as described on Exhibit B (dated <br /> "Received" October 8, 2009), on file with the Planning Division, except as <br /> modified by these conditions. Minor changes to the approved activities /operation <br /> may be approved by the Director of Community Development if determined to be <br /> in substantial conformance with the approved exhibit. <br /> 2. The DJ equipment and dancing area shall be limited to the band and dance <br /> areas shown on the "Music /Dancing Floor Plan" approved with Case PCUP -129. <br /> 3. Speakers used for the DJ music shall be oriented to direct music towards the <br /> front of the building. <br /> 4. If additional hours of operation or activities beyond that proposed in the <br /> applicant's written narrative (dated "Received" October 8, 2009) or as modified <br /> by these conditions are desired, prior City review and approval is required. The <br /> Director of Community Development may approve the modification or refer the <br /> matter to the Planning Commission if judged to be substantial. <br /> 5. Employees that serve alcohol shall undergo an alcohol training program, such as <br /> TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures), designed to prevent intoxication, <br /> underage drinking, and drunk driving. Existing employees that haven't attended <br /> such an alcohol training program shall attend one within 90 days of the effective <br /> date of this approval. All future employees shall undergo an alcohol training <br /> program prior to serving alcohol. <br /> 6. Within 15 days from the effective date of this approval, the applicant shall install <br /> an ash /cigarette butt receptacle adjacent to the existing "smoking bench" along <br /> the western side of the building. The applicant shall install a directional sign(s) to <br /> the designated smoking area and direct patrons wishing to smoke to use this <br /> area. The applicant shall also request smoking customers to be quiet while <br /> smoking outside and to not loiter outside after smoking. Plans for the <br /> ash /cigarette butt receptacle and for the directional sign and its location shall be <br /> submitted to the Director of Community Development for review and approval <br /> prior to installation. <br /> 7. If operation of this use results in conflicts pertaining to noise, parking, <br /> traffic /circulation, or other factors, at the discretion on the Director of Community <br /> Development, this conditional use permit may be submitted to the Planning <br />
