CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1099 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF GUS <br /> ENTERPRISES AND PRUDENTIAL INSURANCE COMPANY <br /> FOR DEVELOPMENT PLA~] APPROVAL FOR A PUD-DEVELOP- <br /> MENT PLAN ON APPROXIMATELY SEVEN ACRES AT THE <br /> NORTHEAST CORNER OF HOPYARD ROAD AND GIBRALTER <br /> DRIVE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Gus Enterprises and Prudential Insurance Company <br /> have applied for PUD (Planned Unit Development)- <br /> development plan approval of an approximately <br /> 105,998 sq. ft. hotel and related facilities <br /> including a 468 seat restaurant on an approximately <br /> seven acre site located at the northeast corner of <br /> Hopyard Road and Gibralter Drive; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Develop- <br /> ment)-C-F (Commercial Freeway) District; and <br /> <br />~EREAS, at the public hearings of August 9, 1983 and <br /> August 23, 1983, the City Council considered all <br /> public testimony, pertinent documents and recommend- <br /> ations made by the city staff; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council has read and considered the <br /> Environmental Impact Report (EIR) prepared for the <br /> overall Hacienda Business Park PrOject. <br /> <br />Section 2: Based upon the Initial Study, the City Council <br /> finds that the cumulative environmental effects of <br /> this project are similar in nature to those discussed <br /> in the Hacienda Business Park PUD EIR and that the <br /> Hacienda Business Park Pun EIR adequately covers the <br /> environmental impacts of this project. <br /> <br />Section 3: To the extent that there were any potentially <br /> significant environmental effects of this discrete <br /> project, the conditions of approval and measures <br /> undertaken since the completion of the Hacienda <br /> Business Park PUD EIR have reduced such impacts to <br /> insignificant levels. <br /> <br /> Section 4: With respect to the cumulative effects of continuing <br /> building by building development, the City Council <br /> finds that prior to the development of the entire area <br /> discussed in the Hacienda Business Park PUD EIR, an <br /> <br /> -1- <br /> <br /> <br />
