EXHIBIT A <br /> CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL <br /> Case PAP -139 (PCUP -257) <br /> Mari Kennard <br /> Redcoats British Pub and Restaurant <br /> 1. The operation of Redcoats British Pub and Restaurant at 336 St. Mary <br /> Street is modified to allow inside DJ music and dancing on Wednesday <br /> and Thursday nights from 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight, as described on <br /> Exhibit B (dated "Received" October 8, 2009), on file with the Planning <br /> Division, except as modified by these conditions. Minor changes to the <br /> approved activities /operation may be approved by the Director of <br /> Community Development if determined to be in substantial conformance <br /> with the approved exhibit. <br /> 2. The DJ equipment and dancing area shall be limited to the band and <br /> dance areas shown on the "Music /Dancing Floor Plan" approved with <br /> Case PCUP -129. <br /> 3. Speakers used for the DJ music shall be oriented to direct music towards <br /> the front of the building. <br /> 4. If additional hours of operation or activities beyond that proposed in the <br /> applicant's written narrative (dated "Received" October 8, 2009) or as <br /> modified by these conditions are desired, prior City review and approval is <br /> required. The Director of Community Development may approve the <br /> modification or refer the matter to the Planning Commission if judged to be <br /> substantial. <br /> 5. Employees that serve alcohol shall undergo an alcohol training program, <br /> such as TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures), designed to prevent <br /> intoxication, underage drinking, and drunk driving. Existing employees <br /> that haven't attended such an alcohol training program shall attend one <br /> within 90 days of the effective date of this approval. All future employees <br /> shall undergo an alcohol training program prior to serving alcohol. <br /> 6. Within 15 days from the effective date of this approval, the applicant shall <br /> install an ash /cigarette butt receptacle adjacent to the existing "smoking <br /> bench" along the western side of the building. The applicant shall install a <br /> directional sign(s) to the designated smoking area and direct patrons <br /> wishing to smoke to use this area. The applicant shall also request <br /> smoking customers to be quiet while smoking outside and to not loiter <br /> outside after smoking. Plans for the ash /cigarette butt receptacle and for <br />
