THE CITY OF 4 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pL£ASANTONo <br /> January 19, 2010 <br /> Community Development <br /> Engineering Division <br /> TITLE: ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS PERFORMED BY <br /> WINGARD ENGINEERING INC. FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION <br /> AT THE INTERSECTION OF STONERIDGE MALL ROAD AND <br /> EMBARCADERO COURT, CIP NO. 085054 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The subject project consists of furnishing and installing all required traffic signal <br /> equipment, traffic signal interconnect equipment, signing and striping, and <br /> miscellaneous concrete work including modification of the existing curb ramps to comply <br /> with ADA requirements. Construction of the subject project is complete and ready for <br /> acceptance. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Accept the improvements for the subject project. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for the subject project. <br /> 3. Authorize payment of the retention in the amount of $13,402.14 to Wingard <br /> Engineering Inc. thirty days after recordation of the Notice of Completion. <br /> 4. Transfer the project balance of $10,986 back into the fund balance of the <br /> Stoneridge Business Center Improvement Fund and Assessment District <br /> Expense Program. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There will be a small increase in annual operations and maintenance costs due to the <br /> additional signalized intersection in the City. The project was funded through the <br /> Stoneridge Business Center Improvement Fund and Assessment District Expense <br /> Program. Staff recommends that the project balance of $10,986 be transferred back <br /> into this fund balance for future projects. <br />
