ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AMENDNG VARIOUS SECTIONS OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE BY REPLACING REFERENCES TO THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR, PLANNING DIRECTOR, PLANNING DEPARTMENT, BUILDING DEPARTMENT, DIRECTOR OF BUILDING INSPECTION, AND DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING IN ORDER TO COINCIDE WITH ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGES WHEREAS, the following sections of the code require amendment in order to coincide with recent changes in the organization; A) In chapters 3, 9, 17, 18, 19, and 20 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, replace all references to "planning director", "director of planning" or "director of planning and community development" with "community development director". B) In chapters 18 and 20 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, replace all references to "director of building inspection" with "chief building official C) In chapters 9, 13, 17, and 18 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, replace all references to "planning department" with "planning division" with the following exceptions: 1) In section 9.04.074(C), delete the following language "The city planning department, in conjunction with the building department," and replace it with "The community development department 2) In section 13.16.050(E), delete "the planning department" and replace it with "the community development department D) In chapters 3, 9, and 18 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, replace all references to "building department" with "building division" with the following exceptions: 1) 1) In section 9.04.074(C), delete the following language "The city planning department, in conjunction with the building department," and replace it with "The community development department E) In section 18.106.020(B) of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, delete the reference to "planning and community development department" and replace it with "planning division F) In chapter 3, 6, and 17 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, replace all references to "public works director" or "director of public works" with "community development director". G) In chapter 9, 14, and 15 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, replace all references to "public works director" or "director of public works" with "operations services director" with the following exceptions: 1) In section 9.20.030, replace all references to "director of public works" with "community development director".
