Resolution No. 02-138 <br />Page Two <br /> <br />Section 3: <br /> <br />Section 4: <br /> <br />The undergrounding pursuant to this resolution will avoid or eliminate an <br />unusually heavy concentration of overhead distribution facilities. <br /> <br />The streets, roads and rights-of-way are extensively used by the general <br />public and carry a heavy volume of pedestrian and vehicular traffic. <br /> <br />The following exceptions in said Underground Utility District No. 02-01 are <br />hereby authorized pursuant to Section 13.12.060 of the Pleasanton Municipal <br />Code: <br /> <br />a. Poles or electroliers used exclusively for street lighting. <br /> <br />Overhead wires (exclusive of supporting structures) crossing any portion of <br />a district within which overhead wires have been prohibited, or connecting <br />to buildings on the perimeter of a district, when such wires originate in an <br />area fi.om which poles, overhead wires and associated overhead structures <br />are not prohibited. <br /> <br />Overhead wires attached to the exterior surface of a building by means of a <br />bracket or other fixture and extending from one location on the building to <br />another location on the same building or to an adjacent building without <br />crossing any public street. <br /> <br />Equipment appurtenant to underground facilities, such as surface-mounted <br />transformers, pedestal-mounted terminal boxes and meter cabinets, and <br />concealed ducts. <br /> <br />Pacific Gas and Electric shall use the underground conversion allocation computed <br />pursuant to decisions of the Public Utilities Commission of the State of California <br />for the purpose of providing to each premises in Underground Utility District No. <br />02-01 with a maximum of one hundred feet (100) of individual electric service <br />trenching and conductor, panel conversions for up to fifteen hundred dollars <br />($1,500) per panel box, as well as backfill, paving, and conduit if required. Each <br />other serving utility will provide service trenching in accordance with its tariffs on <br />file with the Public Utilities Commission or as required by its Franchise <br />Agreement with the City. Each property owner in Underground Utility District <br />No. 02-01 shall be responsible for the installation and maintenance of the conduit <br />and terminal box located on, under or within any structure on the premises served. <br /> <br /> <br />
