Action on the communications were taken as follows: <br />May 22nd =- Pacific Telephone Co. Referred to .Street Superintendent I4'I. M. Rodrigues <br />and'if same was O.K. the Clerk was instructed to write to the company advising them <br />to that affect. <br />May 24th -- League of California Municipalit:bs. Filed. <br />May 29th -- Leon P. Reynolds, Stanford University. Filed. <br />May 31st -- Mayor Angelo Rossi of San Francisco. Filed <br />May 31st ---United Associations of.Sacramento County and City. Filed. <br />June 3rd -- A.B.Silva and L. Sachetti representingtBusiness I1.1en's Club The matter <br />was thoroughly discussed and the Council could not see any objection <br />to the request being granted. Accordingly 'on motion of Councilman <br />Rivolta seconded by Councilman Madsen and with all the Councilmen <br />present in favor of same the request was granted and the Clerk was <br />instructed to advise the Club to that affect. <br />June 3rd -- Telegram of `Ed. Silveria. The bid of Mr. Silveria was considered <br />and in view of the fact "that his previous work in behalf of the <br />municipality had been satisfactory, Councilman Madsen moved that <br />the bid be accepted. His motion was seconded by Councilman Amaral <br />and all the Councilmen present were'in favor of same. The Clerk <br />was instructed to notify him that he could begin his work at his <br />convenience. <br />Councilman Madsen of the Public Utilities Committee reported that of recent <br />weeks a cut had been made in the power bill at the sewer farm and that further. <br />plans were underway to make another cut in order to minimize expenses. <br />Councilman Amaral had nothing to report for the Laws and Judiciary committee <br />and advised that an effort was being made to keep down the expenses of the <br />department. <br />Councilman Rivolta also had nothing to report other..than t.o..state 'that <br />the finances of the town were in good shape. <br />The,Clerk then presented the annual financial report, for the fiscal year <br />ending May 31, 1935. Copies of this report were distributed among the Councilmen <br />and it was ordered that any questions regarding same should be brought before <br />the next regular meeting of the Council. <br />Resolution No. 1548 authorizing the payment of the salaries of the municipal <br />officers and amounting to 745.00 was then introduced. On motion of Councilman <br />Madsen, seconded by Councilman Amaral and.with all the councilmen present voting <br />in favor of same, the resolution was passed. <br />There being no further business the me ng adjour,ed at 9:20 o'clock to <br />meet in regular session, Monday evening, J 1, �1 �5 JA, <br />Approved: Cler <br />T12 r " <br />Pleasanton, California, July 1, 1935. <br />The Town Council of the Town of Pleasanton was called to order <br />at 8 o'clock <br />on the above written date by Mayor Thomas <br />Orloff.
