A discussion followed with reference to the engineering instrument - <br />which had been discussed at the meeting on February 4th -as regards prices <br />and information were presented on same by both Councilman Olesen and the <br />City Clerk. The Councilmen asked the advice of Councilman Olesen as <br />regards the instrument he preferred and he advised that a set offered by <br />a Mr. Murray of San Francisco for 44100.00 seemed to be the best because <br />they had been regularly inspected by the Litz firm of San Francisco and <br />were guaranteed by-them. On motion of Councilman Madsen seconded by Council- <br />man Eivolta and with all the Councilmen in favor of same, I1r. Olesen was <br />appointed to purchase the instrument and arrange for it being paid for. <br />The Clerk then presented notifications of "On Sale" beer and wine <br />licenses issued by the State Board of Equalization to F. J. Lewis and <br />Karl Bieler. The Council had no objection to these licenses being issued <br />and the Clerk was instructed to advise the Board at Sacramento to that <br />affect. <br />The Mayor brought up the matter of investigating the barn belonging <br />to hirs. Irene Schweer Lawrence on Main Street and about which Mr. Kolln <br />had asked that same be condemned. It was decided that the Board would <br />inspect the premises on Thursday, February 28th. <br />Councilman Olesen took up the matter of presenting a project on <br />curb and gutter to the S.E.R.A. to concern 8000 feet. The Clerk was <br />instructed to secure the necessary blanks etc. and to submit the project. <br />There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 8 o'clock <br />to meet�in regular session, Monday evening Iviarch 4tp at 7:30 o'clock. <br />Clerk <br />Approved: <br />Mayor <br />Pleasanton, California, March ,4, 1935. <br />The Town Council. of the 'Town of Pleasanton was called to order at <br />7:30 <br />P.M. on the above written date by Mayor Thomas Orloff.
