Fund 5241.21; Town Hall Bond <br />898:26; Municipal Improvement Bond Fund $427.0. <br />Bond Fund $609.93. Water Deposit Fund: Balance <br />engineer '20.00, total $42.50. <br />of America Interest $30.10, total <br />2nd and 16, 1934 $ ?5076.79, leaving <br />� 7485.90. This was divided as <br />Fund $309.42; Water Bond Fund, <br />3; 1929 Municipal Improvement <br />on hand•$22.50, received from <br />Superintendent of Streets: -- Showing that work on streets had amounted to $105.38 <br />during the month of April, 1934. <br />Town Marshal: -- Showing that he had received water bills from the Clerk amounting <br />to `921.40; that he collected water bills amounting to `754.25, and that he ha d <br />returned water bills amounting to $167.15. He also collected licenses amounting <br />to $460.00 as follows: 1 license n $40.00--$40.00; 1 license n $p20.00-- $p20.00; <br />7 licenses n $16.00--$112.00; 24 licenses a $12.00-=X2'88.00, also milk inspe cti on <br />fees amounting to $46.30, and taxes'amounting to X2701.08. <br />Treasurer: -- Showing that he had cash on hand at last report <br />then collections had amounted to „4197.54, and that payment <br />amounted to 4$5076.79, leaving a cash balance of $7485.90. <br />special deposit fund of $42.50, total cash $7528.40. <br />of X8365.15 and s ince <br />of town warrants had <br />Also Water Department <br />City Judge: -- Showing that $20.00 had been collected in fines during the month of <br />April, 1934. <br />Fire Chief: -- Report of the activities of the Department for the month of April, <br />1934. <br />Health Officer: -- Report showed that the number of reportable diseases during the <br />month were 8, and that one complaint had been investigated. <br />I'alilk Inspector:-- Showing report of Laboratory Anal <br />yeses of Milk samples for <br />Il rch, 1934. <br />The reports were referred to the finance committee for examination and report. <br />The following communications were then read by the clerk: <br />April 14th -- George T. Tooney-- Soliciting consideration from the Council with regards <br />to engineering work for the City of Pleasanton as regards a system of <br />unif.'orm street grades, manument the streets etc. <br />April 27th- - California Sewage Works Association announcing the Sixth Spring Conference <br />At Yosemite Valley, I -lay 25 and 26th. <br />May 1st - -State Industrial Accident Commission advising that copies of electric safety <br />orders were being sent the municipality. <br />May 5th -- League of California I'iiunici.palities regarding the completion of CVIA projects. <br />Also unemployment relief under the SERA. <br />May 4th -- Council No. 15, I.D.E.S. requesting permission to hold its annual Holy Ghost <br />Celebration I,,ay 26th and 27th. <br />May 7th - -Peter C..Christesen-- presenting his application for Building Inspector 2)r the <br />Tovrn of Pleasanton. <br />May 7th -- Pleasanton Fire Department advising of a meeting of the Pleasan tnn Fire' <br />Department on April 24th. Also the recommendation by the Department of the <br />appointment of Crawford Letham, chief of the department, and John J. Amaral, <br />assistant chief. <br />Liay 7th -- Charles Hammond -- regarding the painting of a sign in the nor thern entrance of <br />Pleasanton in payment for a city painting license. <br />May 7th -- Dorothy Davis -- inviting the City Council to attend a recital May 16th at the <br />Women's Improvement Club. <br />Mr. Wells was present and since he had another meeting to attend he asked for the <br />privilege of addressing the Qouncil. He invited the Council to attend a barbecue at <br />McKinley Park on Saturday afternoon, I41ay 26th at which time the Livermore Stockmen's <br />Association were to hold a public meeting aBtivihich would be attended by the stockmen <br />of Alameda, Contra Ccs ta, San Joaquin, Santa Clara, and Stanislaus County. He told <br />of the importance of the 'meeting and urged part'icu7 arly that all Councilmen be <br />present to meet the stockmen. <br />A recess followed during which the finance committee examined Claims No. 434 to <br />497 inclusive and amounting to $1122.95, as .;iell as the officers monthly reports. <br />Following the recess after the meeting had been called to gether again Councilman <br />Madsen of the finance committee reported that the committee had approved Claims ido. 443 <br />to 497 inclusive and'amounting to 41122.95. On his motion seconded by Councilman Olesen <br />and with all councilmen present voting in favor of same, the claims were ordered <br />paid. Councilman A'adsen then reported that the finance committee had approved the <br />officers' monthly reports and he made a motion that they be placed on file. There <br />being no objections to same , they were ordered filed. <br />
