He also collected Milk Inspection Fees of $33.43. <br />Also taxes amounting to $20.59. <br />Treasurer: -- Showing that he had cash on hand at. last report of $5010.22 and since <br />hen collections had Emounted to $1274.82,and that payment of town warrants had <br />amounted to $1607.55, leaving a cash balance of $4677.49. <br />City JudgB4 Showing that he had collected fines amounting to $30.00 during <br />the month of September, 1933. <br />:Health Officer: -- Showing activities for the months of 'August and September, 1933. <br />Fire Chief: -- Report of the activiths of the Department for the month of S.ePtertber, <br />1933. <br />Milk Inspectar- - Showing Laboratory 'Analyses.00f�Milk Samples for September, 1933. <br />Build ina Inspector: --Sho7ving that three building permits had been granted during <br />the month of September, 1933. <br />The reports were referred to the finance committee for examination and report. <br />The following communications were then read by the • Clerk: <br />September 6th -- League of California Municipalities concerning map to be forwarded <br />to State Department of Public forks showing the location of city <br />boundaries. <br />September 12th -- League of California Municipalities with regards to dues far the, <br />year. <br />September 15th- - Safeway Store's concerning refund on four licenses. <br />September 25th - -C. A. Gale regarding automobile insurance expiring October 16th. <br />September 27th- -State Compensation Ins urance• Fund regarding the •covering of volunteer <br />firemen and the forwarding of the list of those Vo be covered. <br />September 29th -- Pleasanton Parlor of Native Sons inviting the Council to attend <br />its Twenty -fifth Anniversary on October 12th. <br />September 29th -- Duplicate copy of letter sent by Dr. I. 0. church, Alameda County <br />Realth Officer to Steve Adamian regarding the discontinuance of <br />dumping -at the present place used by 1dr. Adamian and the removal <br />of the dumping grounds to some other location. <br />A request was received from the Pleasanton Post of the American Legion asking <br />that the dance permit granted fox September 30th be allowed for October. 28th since <br />the dance of the 30th had been cancelled..The request was granted. <br />A recess followed during' which the finance committee examined claims No. 129 <br />to 163 inclusive amounting to X756.87 as well as the officers monthly reports. <br />Following the recess after the meeting had been called to order again Council- <br />man Apperson chairman of the finance committee reported that the committee had <br />approved Claims Uo. $).9 to 163 inclusive and amounting to N756.87. He also reported <br />that the claim of the Pleasanton Electric company for 046.07 which had been okayed <br />by Mr. Britton,since the last meeting,was being further held up because it was <br />understood that Mr. Britton was to pay for part of the labor, the item on the bill <br />amounting to $20.00. On Mr ? Appers on' s motion seconded by Councilman Madsen all <br />claims were ordered paid. The motion carried by the vote of all present. Councilman <br />Apperson• then reported that the .finance committee had approved the officers' monthly <br />reports and he made a motion to the effect that they be placed on file. There being <br />no objections same were ordered filed. <br />Action on the communications received was t en taken as follows: <br />September 6th -- League of California -- Referred to Councilman Garatti. <br />12th -- League of California Municipalities- -The matter was laid over for <br />for further discussion. <br />15th -- Safeway Stores - -The Clerk was instructed to advise the firm that <br />according to the town ordinance money paid infithe town treasury <br />for license fees could not be refunded. <br />25th - -C. A. Gale- -The Clerk •Alas instructed to write to Mr. gale not to <br />renew this insurance . On motion. of Councilman Madsen, seeo hddd <br />by Councilman Garatti, and with all present in favor of sane, it <br />was voted to allow H.A.Cook to write this policy which concerns <br />property damage and public liability insurance on the Ford car <br />used by the town engineer. <br />" 25th- -State Compensation Insurance Fund- -The Clerk was instructed to <br />forward the list of names submitted by the Fire Department. <br />
