i Z W�o The Council ordered the Clerk to write a letter to Engineer Hugh A. Sinclair and extend him their best wishes for a Happy New Year. Herman G. Kolln, local business man, was present at the meeting and was asked by the Mayor to make a few remarks. Mr. Kolln had little to say other than that he thought the railroad corssing at Neal Street should'be given attention. There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 9:15 o'clock to meet in special session, Monday evening, January 8, 1934 at the usual hour. ° Approved: �� , i .• 0 Pleasanton, California, January '8, 1934. The Town Council of the Town of Pleasanton was called to order at 8 o'clock on the above written date, with Mayor A.B.Picke,rd presiding. Present at roll call were Councilmen Orloff, Garatti and Pickard, and absent Councilmen Madsen and Apperso n. Mr. Herold representing the Southern Pacific Company was present to discuss crossing conditions with the Council. After some discussion Mr. Herold promised to go over the crossings and to personally look into the matter and make a report to Councilman Garatti. The Council expressed itself as being willing to close the street in the vicinity of the crossing and to cooperate in any way necessary to assist in successfully fixing'the crossing. The matter of the culvert in the vicinity of the crossing was also discussed with Mr. Herold,. but he was unable to express himself as to whether or not the company would be willing to do anything at this time. The Clerk presented an application for an "On Sale" and "Off Sale" license of Chris Petersen forwarded by the State Board of Equalization. The council had no® objection to the Board issuing the license. On motion of'Councilman Orloff seconded by Councilman Garatti and with all present voting in favor of same the Clerk-was instructed to write to the State Board of Equalization to that affect. There being no further. business before the Council, the meeting adjourned at 8:30 o'clock to meet in regular session on Monday evening, February 5th, at the usual hour.
