The annual financial <br />report as previously submitted by the Clerk was accepted on motion <br />of Councilman Hansen, seconded by Councilman Oxsen and approved by all <br />Councilmen present. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1947 authorizing the annual payment of $240.00 to the <br />Pleasanton Volunteer Fire Dept. was adopted on motion of Councilman <br />Hansen, seconded by Councilman Oxsen and approved by all Councilmen <br />present. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1948 authorizing payment of salaries in the amount of <br />2,375.55 for the month of July was adopted on motion of Councilman § xsum <br />Oxsen, seconded by Councilman Hansen and approved by all Councilmen <br />present. <br />The Clerk was directed to contact Mr. Davis relative to a County <br />dump location and to request a check on local garbage collection. He <br />was also instructed to write to the Kaiser Co. relative to possible <br />purchase of a dump site. <br />There being no further business to come before the Council, the <br />meeting was adjourned at 10:15 P.M. to meet again in adjourned regular <br />session at 7 :30 P.M. on Tuesday, August 19, 1947. <br />Clerk <br />Pleasanton, California <br />August 19, 1947 <br />The Council of the Town of Pleasanton met in adjourned regular session <br />at 7:30 P.M. on the above date with Mayor Earl Trimingham in the <br />chair. Roll call showed - present: Councilmen Oxsen, Hansen and <br />Trimingham; abosent: Councilmen Brenner. and Mezza. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1950 endorsing the program for State Hiway construction <br />in the East Bay area as proposed by the City Engineers and County <br />Surveyor was adopted on motion of Councilman Hansen, seconded by <br />Councilman Oxsen and approved by all Councilmen present. <br />On motion of Councilman Hansen, seconded by Councilman Oxsen and <br />approved by all Councilmen present, permission was granted the <br />P. G. & E. Co. to move certain poles at the Fair Grounds to the <br />curb, subject to approval of the Board of Supervisors. <br />COUNCILMAN IvIEZZA arrived at the meeting. <br />D <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHO.IZING AHD CONSENTING TO THE TRANSFER OF A PORTION <br />OF MAIN STEEET IN THE TOWN OF PLEASANTON, TO THE COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />AS A COUNTY HIWAY was given a second reading and adopted by the <br />following vote: <br />Aye: Councilmen Oxsen, Hansen, Mezza and <br />Trimingham <br />No: None <br />Absent: Councilman Brenner <br />Mr. Ramseier estimated that preparation of plans for the proposed <br />sewage disposal plant improvements Would cost 06,500.00 and rec- <br />ommended that the Council request 2,000.00 from the County for this <br />purpose. The City Attorney was directed to write to the Board of <br />Supervisors requesting these funds. <br />
