A partial report on a fire precaution survey of hotels and rooming houses was ordered held for_..further details to be sub - mitted, by the Fire Chief and the Building Inspector. RESOLUTION NO. 1938 directing the P. G. & E. to install one addi- tional street light on Rose Avenue was adopted on motion of Council- man Oxsen, seconded by Councilman Hansen and approved by all Councilmen present. RESOLUTION NO. 1939 endorsing the Walsh Plan for location of the second Bay .ridge was adopted on motion of Councilman Hansen, seconded by Councilman Oxsen and approved by all Councilmen present. ON MOTION of Councilman Hansen, seconded by Councilman Oxsen, and approved by all Councilmen present, the Clerk was directed to advise Mayor Andersen of Livermore that the Council would be happy to co- operate with the City of Livermore in entertaining the East Bay League of California Cities at a barbecue this summer. RESOLUTION NO. 1937 authorizing payment of salaries in the amount of 2,066.65 for the month of February was adopted on• motion of Councilman Hansen, seconded by Councilman 0xsen and approved by all Councilmen present. - THERE being no further business to come before ,the Council,' the meeting was adjourned at 11:15 P.M. to meet again in adjourned regular session at 7 :30 P.M. on March 17, 1947. Mayor L Pleasanton, California March 17, 1947 The Council of the Town of Pleasanton met in adjourned regular session at 7:30 P.M. on the above date with Mayor Earl Trimingham 'in the chair. Roll call showed present - Councilmen Brenner, Oxsen, Hansen and Mezzo; absent - none. MAYOR TRIMINGHAM stated that the Council had received a copy of_a Resolution of the Board of Supervisors stating their willingness to accept that portion of Pleasanton Avenue between Rose Avenue and the southerly City Limits as a County Road, and that it was necessary that an Ordinance be passed by the Town to transfer this street to the County. AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND CONSENTING TO THE TRANSFER OF A PORTION OF PLEASANTON AVE. IN THE TOWN OF PLEASANTON, TO THE COUNTY OF ALAIEDA AS A COUNTY HIGHWAY was read by the Clerk and introduced by Councilman Oxsen. COUNCILMAN OXSEN was requested to contact the owner of the property between Rose Ave. and Angela St. relative to the owners' ability and willingness to pay for the proposed curb and gutter work. COUNCILMAN MEZZA reported that the sewer on Ray St. had been. plugged by tallow and parafine waste from the barrel factory, and that it was necessary to install a new manhole on Ray St. He stated that the Maslow Cooperage Co.. had been cooperative in furnishing labor to clear the sewer and had indicated willingness to assist in construc- tion of the.new manhole. The Council agreed to the purchase of an additional 200 feet of sewer rod. ' THERE being no further business to come before the Council, the meeting was adjourned at 9 :10 P.M. to meet again in regular session
