8T <br />R. E. RAIvISEIER explained various details of his report on <br />proposed improvements to the sewage disposal system. <br />COUNCILMAN MEZZA was excused from the meeting at 10:50 P.M. <br />A partial report on a fire precaution survey of hotels and <br />rooming houses was ordered held for_..further details to be sub - <br />mitted, by the Fire Chief and the Building Inspector. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1938 directing the P. G. & E. to install one addi- <br />tional street light on Rose Avenue was adopted on motion of Council- <br />man Oxsen, seconded by Councilman Hansen and approved by all <br />Councilmen present. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1939 endorsing the Walsh Plan for location of the <br />second Bay .ridge was adopted on motion of Councilman Hansen, <br />seconded by Councilman Oxsen and approved by all Councilmen present. <br />ON MOTION of Councilman Hansen, seconded by Councilman Oxsen, and <br />approved by all Councilmen present, the Clerk was directed to advise <br />Mayor Andersen of Livermore that the Council would be happy to co- <br />operate with the City of Livermore in entertaining the East Bay <br />League of California Cities at a barbecue this summer. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1937 authorizing payment of salaries in the amount of <br />2,066.65 for the month of February was adopted on• motion of <br />Councilman Hansen, seconded by Councilman 0xsen and approved by all <br />Councilmen present. - <br />THERE being no further business to come before ,the Council,' the <br />meeting was adjourned at 11:15 P.M. to meet again in adjourned <br />regular session at 7 :30 P.M. on March 17, 1947. <br />Mayor <br />L <br />Pleasanton, California <br />March 17, 1947 <br />The Council of the Town of Pleasanton met in adjourned regular <br />session at 7:30 P.M. on the above date with Mayor Earl Trimingham <br />'in the chair. Roll call showed present - Councilmen Brenner, Oxsen, <br />Hansen and Mezzo; absent - none. <br />MAYOR TRIMINGHAM stated that the Council had received a copy of_a <br />Resolution of the Board of Supervisors stating their willingness to <br />accept that portion of Pleasanton Avenue between Rose Avenue and the <br />southerly City Limits as a County Road, and that it was necessary <br />that an Ordinance be passed by the Town to transfer this street to <br />the County. <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND CONSENTING TO THE TRANSFER OF A PORTION <br />OF PLEASANTON AVE. IN THE TOWN OF PLEASANTON, TO THE COUNTY OF <br />ALAIEDA AS A COUNTY HIGHWAY was read by the Clerk and introduced by <br />Councilman Oxsen. <br />COUNCILMAN OXSEN was requested to contact the owner of the property <br />between Rose Ave. and Angela St. relative to the owners' ability and <br />willingness to pay for the proposed curb and gutter work. <br />COUNCILMAN MEZZA reported that the sewer on Ray St. had been. plugged <br />by tallow and parafine waste from the barrel factory, and that it was <br />necessary to install a new manhole on Ray St. He stated that the <br />Maslow Cooperage Co.. had been cooperative in furnishing labor to <br />clear the sewer and had indicated willingness to assist in construc- <br />tion of the.new manhole. The Council agreed to the purchase of an <br />additional 200 feet of sewer rod. <br />' THERE being no further business to come before the Council, the <br />meeting was adjourned at 9 :10 P.M. to meet again in regular session <br />
