He stated that he
had one more pour to e•
complete the concrete.pipe at the Sewer
Farm.. He proposed that a pump be installed at the Sever Farm to pump
into 3 ponds to take advantage of the greater capacity that exists
but can not be utilized with the. present gravity•flow. He also
reported that it had come to his attention that settlement of Hagstrom's
Store had broken a plate glass window and it was possible that the
Town might be blamed for the settlement as being caused by a broken
water main. Water Dept. Supt. Geo. Sobiela stated that the leakage
came from a broken pipe in back of the meter and was no responsibility
of 'the Town. •
Mayor. A Committee of delegates from all Alameda County
cities and towns was being organized to attend a meeting with Mr.
Purcell of the Hiway Dept. at Sacramento on January 9.
Mayor Trimingham requested the Council members to give some thought
to the advisability of having Committees of three members each to
handle routine matters for the various departments rather than having
them referred to the entir,eCouncil as is necessary at present.
Water Dept.
