Forms were ready to'concrete the pipe at the'sewer farm <br />but the work is held up by lack of help. Councilman Mezza also re- <br />ported that a truck had been located for oil spraying grass at, the <br />sewer farm. He recommended that a pump and motor no longer needed <br />at the sewer farm and possibly the old fire truck be disposed of. <br />He also stated that Joe Avilla had requested individual meters be set <br />at each of his 4 cottages on Vineyard Ave. It was decided that Mr. <br />Avilla be advised that no meters are available for this purpose. <br />MAYOR TRIMINGHAM reported that Mrs. Morgan had requested permission <br />for the Women's Improvement Club to make certain.improvements to the <br />park in the rear of the City Hall. The Clerk was directed to prepare <br />a letter advising the Club that the Council would approve providing <br />the proposed work was cleared with Councilman Hansen before being <br />done. The Mayor. also reported that Councilman Hansen had advised <br />him that the work of levelling the City Hall had been completed at <br />a cost some lesthan the 0350.00 estimate and that the next work <br />would be to repair the plaster in the Women's Improvement Club room. <br />It was agreed that Councilman Hansen be authorized to have this work <br />done. It was also agreed that the pump and motor at the sewer farm <br />and the old fire truck be sold. <br />COUNCILMAN MEZZA was excused from the meeting at 9:50 P.M. in order <br />to report for work. <br />R. E. RAMSEIER was present at the meeting and explained features <br />of an engineering services contract to cover a preliminary study <br />and report on improvements to the sewage disposal plant. <br />THE CLERK reported that Supervisor Stanley had advised that cost <br />estimates must be submitted to County Surveyor Boggs before the <br />County could appropriate funds for proposed street improvements. He <br />also stated that he could take no action on County participation in <br />a community dump until he was given more definite information as to <br />cost, location, etc. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1926 authorizing payment of interest on the 1910 and <br />1929 Bonds in the amount of $540.00 was adopted on motion of Council- <br />man Oxsen, seconded by Councilman Brenner and approved by all <br />Councilmen present. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1927 authorizing payment for the new Street Dept. <br />dump truck in the amount of 02,265.22 was adopted on motion of <br />Councilman Oxsen, seconded by Councilman Brenner and approved by <br />all Councilmen present. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1928 authorizing refund of taxes in the amount of <br />$39.00 erroneously collected from Joe Amaral was adopted on motion <br />of Councilman Brenner, seconded by Councilman Oxsen and approved <br />by all Councilmen present. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1925 authorizing payment of officers salaries in the <br />amount of $2,160.00 for . the month of October was adopted on motion <br />of Councilman Brenner, seconded by Councilman Oxsen and approved by <br />all Councilmen present. <br />THERE being no 'further business to come before the Council, the <br />meeting was adjourned at 10:25 P.I. to meet again in regular session <br />at 7:30 P.M. on Monday, December 2, 1946. <br />Mayor <br />C le r <br />
