Pleasanton, California <br />September 4th, 1951 <br />The Council of the Town of Pleasanton met in regular session at 8 :OOP.M. <br />on the above date with Mayor Oxsen in the chair. Roll call showed: Councilmen <br />Trimingham and Abrott present. Councilmen Hewitson and Hansen absent, <br />Councilman Hansen arrived. at 9 :30 PM <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Oxsen, who called for opening <br />of the bids for the proposed street work on Bernal, St. Mary and Division <br />Streets, <br />The Clerk informed the Council that only one bid had been 'received. <br />The Clerk was instructed to read same. Said bid was the Brown and Krull <br />Construction Co.•of Hayward. Total bid price $11,086.00. <br />RESOLUTION 2180 Accepting the bod of Brown and Krull Construction Company <br />subject to approval by the Division of Highways was adopted on motion of <br />Councilman Abrott, seconded by Councilman Trimingham, and approved by all <br />Councilmen present. <br />C4 A motion by Councilman Abrott, seconded by Councilman Trimingham <br />to budget an additional $2,000.00 to cover the cost of Brown and Krullts <br />bid was unanimous. <br />Mayor Oxsen asked Mr. Goodridge if he was familiar with the proposed <br />subdivision. at the west end of town and informed Mr. Goodridge that a well and <br />new reservoir would be necessary, etc. The Mayor asked Mr. Goodridge if <br />me would be able to give the Councilmen some idea as to the cost. <br />Mr. Goodridge said he would, but that it would take some time as he <br />would have to check the present system and get better acquainted with the <br />system. To which-the Council agreed and following a discussion on the subject <br />the Council authorized Mr. Goodridge to proceed with a preliminary survey of <br />the watet system and storage. <br />THE MINUTES of the August 6th meeting were read. <br />City Clerk McGonegal tendered his resignation. The Council agreed to <br />take it under advisement. The Clerk stated that he would finish the Annual <br />Reports but would•not•.be responsible for any new or current business of the <br />Council. <br />7 CLAIMS: Nos. 42 to -_73 inclusive amounting to $2,930.86, were presented <br />and referred to the Finance Committee: <br />#42 George Sobiela $23.84 <br />43 Jack Pons 20.00 <br />44 Bristol Co., The Electrical supplies 56,00 <br />45 Central Equipment Co., Inc.
