1 <br />Pleasanton, California <br />March 20, 1951 <br />The Council.of the Town of Pleasanton met in regular adjourned session on the <br />above date with Mayor Oxsen in the chair.@ 7:30P.M. Roll call showed: Councilmen <br />Trimingham, Abrott present. <br />Absent: Councilmen Hansen, and Hewitson absent due to illness. <br />41 <br />MAYOR OXSEN stated this will be an informal meeting. <br />MR. GOODRIDGE explained the Gas Tax situation to the Council, as per Mr. Montell <br />Mr. Fleming's visit this date with the Clerk, Mr. Gale and Mr. Goodridge. <br />Mr. Goodridge said the County Engineer Boggs has said that $6,000.00 is available <br />as soon as the Town of Pleasanton presents plans and specifications as to the ex- <br />penditure of same. <br />Mr. Goodridge explained that the curb line is now set and is straight while the <br />South side (existing curbs) are not straight. <br />MAYOR OXSEN reported that W.P.R.R. Officials had been in Town and gone -over the curb <br />and gutter question on their property at Harrison and Angela St's. The W.P represen <br />tatives wanted to know if sidewalks were required. The Mayor explained that if they <br />would erect some 200 ft. to fill in between properties where there is already side- <br />walks, the corner would not require same if curb and gutters were erected. A few <br />days later the Mayor continued, Mr. Stahlnecker called him and relayed the message, <br />that the construction had been o.k'd and would the City be kind enough to have some <br />local contractor submit a bid for the 200 ft. (approx.) of side walk, curb and gutter <br />the curb and gutter on the corner of Harrison and Angela in seperate bids. <br />MR. GOODRIDGE presented his estimate for work on St. Mary's Street <br />1,120.00 Repair <br />2,000.00 (Construction) Repair <br />12,000.00 Resurface <br />Mr..Goodridge suggested the Street Department keep a record of time.and material used <br />for last 1/4. <br />Mr. Goodridge also suggested the Council try to obtain the Right of Way thru Ray St. <br />and to submit letter to the Dept. of Highways requesting Ray, Vineyard Bernal Ave., <br />Streets of Major Importance. <br />MOVED to dispense with the reading of Resolution No 2146. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2146 Making Ray St., Vineyard Ave. Bernal Ave. Streets of Major <br />Importance. Adopted on motion of Councilman Trimingham, seconded by Councilman Abrott <br />and, approved by all Councilman present. <br />COUNCILMAN ABROTT presented plans by Engineer Ramseier to level and check new pond <br />area for permanent pasture estimate for the work $4,654.00 incl. inspection and <br />pipe. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2147 appointing P. Christesen to a new four year term on the Housing <br />Authority adopted on motion of Councilman Abrott, seconded by Councilman Trimingham <br />and approved by all Councilmen present. <br />COUNCILMAN presented prices to purchase and rental charges for 3" pipe for draining <br />old pond area. <br />$392.75 to purchase 3" self priming pump <br />75.00 to rent per month 3" self priming pump. <br />Council decided to rent this pump and ordered Clerk to make arrangements for deliv- <br />ery of same from the Pacific Pumping Co. of Oakland. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2148 Recommending to the Board of Supervisors that the Judicial District <br />of the Township of Pleasanton remain unchanged. Was adopted upon motion of Councilman <br />Trimingham and seconded by Councilman Abrott and approved by all Councilmen present. <br />
