40 <br />THE MEETING was again called to order and on motion of Councilman Trimingham, second- <br />ed by Councilman Abrott and approved by all Councilmen present that Claims No's 236 <br />261 incl. totaling $1,622.04 be paid as presented. <br />ALL OFFICER'S REPORTS were approved and ordered filed. <br />COMMUNICATIONS RECEIVED: <br />2/9/51 Assembly Calif. Was adopted on motion of Councilman Trim <br />ingham and seconded by Councilman Abrott and approved by all Councilmen present. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2144 accepting the Bid of K. D. Chevrolet Company for a new 1951 <br />1/2 ton Chevrolet pick -up for the Water Dept. was adopted on notion of Councilman <br />Abrott and seconded by Councilman Trimingham and approved by all Councilmen <br />p resent. <br />COUNCILMAN TRIMINGHAM.brought up the subject of the dogs in Town, and suggested <br />that the Council take under advisement the passing of an Ordinance to restrict <br />sharply the licening of dogs that are allowed to run loose. The Council decided <br />to look into Ordinances of othe Cities that have corrected this matter. <br />CITY BUILDINGS AND FIRE DEPARTMENT: .Councilman Trimingham no report every- <br />thing under control and working fine. There is a Civil Defense measure coming up <br />soon that will involve the Fire Dept. <br />UTILITIES: Councilman Abrott stated that the Sewer Farm will need a pump to <br />empty the ponds. Mr. Bart Carter was going into the City on this matter and would <br />check on the prices for the Town if-the Council wished him to do so. <br />STREET DEPARTMENT: acting Mayor Hansen reported that the tree in front of Schack <br />elton' s old house had to come out directed the Clerk to contact Reno Cairo the <br />first thing in the morning have him remove the tree. <br />Acting Mayor Hansen also directed the Clerk to obtain prices of a eircu] saw <br />for use by.the Street Department. 111 <br />CITY ATTORNEY GALE: reviewed what little information he had obtained from Liver- <br />more in regards to the State Retirement Plan. <br />MR. LUCAS asked about Street abandonment of Second and Third Streets by Grammar <br />School property and asked for permission to erect a cement retaining wall and <br />ditch on Third Street side beyond end of Street but would still be along side <br />of street if the Town were to ever put Third Street through. Permission granted. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2145 was adopted upon motion of Councilman Trimingham and second- <br />ed by Councilman Abrott and approved by all Councilmen present. Payroll for month <br />of February amounting to $3,004.50 <br />THERE BEING no further business to come before the Council, the meeting was ad- <br />journed at 11 :35 P.M. to meet again in special session on March 20th, 1951 at 7 :30 <br />P.M. <br />
